Holiday Inn Batam Aug 2008

We went there for 3D2N from 22-24th Aug 2008. Service was good.

Beautiful Night Scenery from our rooms!

On the left side of the photo is the spa rooms whereby you can enjoy one of the most beautiful seaview.



Walking towards the right of the photo bring us to the saltwater jacuzzi, lobby and the seafood restuarant.

The fourth house from left view of the picture behind is where we stayed.

The salt water is supposed to have therapeutic effect and it's drawn from under the sea.

Guess Mr Sea Cockroach gained access by that and hopped onto my shoulder which gave Lin a SHOCK (for tiny KTM prawn) and the manager puzzled!

I was thinking, "Free SeaFOOD for dinner?"...


But the water from the hole is soothing thou. And it meant that the water really comes from the sea and not somewhere else..Haha.

Seafood restuarant comes with a surrounded seaview! Almost as we book the whole place when we arrived on our first day. Romantic!


Food Menu - Lunch for anybody? Some of the food comes with pics (although not as comprehensive like Sakae sushi ones...)

Fried rice with salted fish (around S$2.35 per plate) still one of my favorites! Same price as a can of Heinekein or local white beers.

The food there although cheap but got some standards.

We tried the crabs (est. S$8.40 for two small but fleshy crabs). Still prefer the pepper ones. The fried kangkong also good but Lin comment abit oily for her..

That's our last crabby dinner feast on last day. So rush that we didn't order much...

"Cute man & his voice" video-tapping our dinner (Umm-hemm... actually Lin is the main cast - Cause she is eating!!!). This is our last day stay & almost to leave...Although the resort manager guarantinee that no matter what he will make sure to arrange for our trip back to S'pore (wah liao ~ first class service man)..

BUT still Hao & Lin is not the type to impose on others. We try to get our wonderful dinner quick. Hoho..

Nothing special. But this is what the manager Ng told us. In Batam, take only the blue & red cab with "TAXI" sign on the vehicle - just to be safe...

Thought that A&W is extinct? Nah...Here's Lin taking back an old memory lane of its famous "ROOT BEER FLOAT" + "ICE-CREAM WAFFLE" ~ YUMMY!!!

Located in one of the biggest, newest shopping complex in Batam.


See the BRAND - A&W on its plate and Root Beer Mug???...Wish you were here...
